Introduction

People who are all interested in the gaming phone, they must know this Infinix Smartphone Brand. They came up with new model with updated design and features. Infinix launced it's Infinix GT 30 5G Plus smartphone. Let us discuss about design, display, performance, camera and software features in it.

Infinix GT 30 Pro Specifications

Infinix GT 30 Design Specs

Let's start by talking about what sets the GT 30 5G Plus apart, and that has to be the design of the phone. The thing that you will notice in GT30 is sharp lines and a very futuristic look that Infinix has created on the rear of the phone. Of course, this is a polycarbonate back with a polycarbonate frame, but it's got this glass-like texture for the back, which is kind of interesting.

Infinix GT 30 Pro price in india

And unlike other Infinix Duty phones that have launched this year, it is also lined up with LEDs on the back. So they light up when you get calls, notifications, or even when you're recording videos. By the way, Infinix calls this something out of a sci-fi movie design. Cyber Mecca 2.0. And it is aimed at the youth gamer demographic.

And obviously, headlining feature in the design is the GT triggers, which are not present on any phone in this price range for sure.  As for durability, Infinix has covered that you get support for an IP 64 rating. There's a pre-applied screen protector that you can continue to use or apply a third-party one. You also get Gorilla Glass 7i protection for the front of the display, which is pretty awesome by the way. Also, Infinix also provides with a TPU case inside the box. Now, ports and buttons are standard. You get a Type-C 2.0 port. You get stereo speakers and a SIM card tray that accepts two nano SIM cards. And there's also an Infinite Blaster. By the way, this phone comes in cyber blue, pulse green variant,, and Blade White.

Infinix GT 30 5G Display

Now, a gaming phone deserves a good display, and the GT 30 5G Plus definitely has one. It's of course a flat display with 6.78 in AMOLED panel with 144 Hz refresh rate with 1.5K resolution and LTPS technology no less. which basically means that it can actually cycle between 60/90/120 and 144 Hz. You also get 1,600 nits in HBM mode and 4,500 nits when you're watching HDR content.

infinix gt 30 pro launch date in india

And In outdoors and it's pretty bright actually especially for a phone that costs under 20,000. By the way, one thing to note is that the UI actually runs at 120 Hz and only certain games are supported to run at 144 hertz. Unfortunately, I don't know which games are currently running at 144 herz on this phone right now.

Now, while the outdoor brightness is good, even the HDR content actually does look pretty impressive, especially considering that the shadow tuning and the highlight control has been done pretty well. but the fundamental problem with, the HDR tuning or the display in general is that it's poppy. Of course, a lot of people prefer that. However, I prefer a little bit of a neutral color tuning, which is actually not possible on this phone.

There are two things about the display that I particularly find very impressive is that the PWM dimming is 2304 hertz, which means that if you are sensitive to low light flicker you know, low brightness when you're watching content in the dark, then that's definitely not going to be a problem for you, which is fantastic. The optical indisplay fingerprint scanner is also very good. But most importantly, X-axis linear motor actually offers very good vibration feedback, which is something that is a rarely in this price range. So, great job, Infinix. By the way, you do get proper stereo speakers with DTS support. And there are phones that cost more than this with a single speaker.

Infinix GT 30 Pro Specifications Performance

Infinix GT series is targeted at gamers and therefore the GT 30 5G plus also is targeted at gamers of course. So, what you get internally is the MediaTek dimensity 7400 SoC. You get NPDR 5X RAM type UFS 2.2 storage and there are two variants of the phone 8 RAM/128GB Storage and 8 RAM /256GB Storage. Now, while this is not the most powerful processor in this price range, it's still a very powerful one. And what Infinix has done completely surprised me. It's basically tuned this MediaTek Dimensity 7400, the best of all the other Dimensity 7400 phones.

Also, the best ANTUTU score of 7.4 lakhs. The Geekbench score was the highest of all the Dimensity 7400 phones. Even the CPU runs very stable. The GPU stability is very good in our 3D markers test. And if you look at the CPU stability , you will notice that the average is the highest of all the phones here. The Infinix GT30 is actually officially certified by Craftin to run BGMI at 90 fps. In fact, COD Mobile also runs at 90 FPS, but obviously BGMI and COD is not enough for us.

But more importantly, average temperatures. It's not even breached 40°. In fact, that's also true for when we ran the 3D Mark wireless test. And how is that possible? Because Infinix has actually added a 3D vapor pooling chamber inside, which is about 5,400 mm square. And that helps the phone run cool, keeps the temperatures in check, and also give you sustained performance. But wait, if you're a gamer, there's more to make you happy.

We also get the GT triggers with the option to customize them however you want to, including within specific games as well, and also to open apps. And there's the X boost AI game mode, which offers features like bypass charging, esports mode, and zone touch master. So, with zone touch master, Infinix employs some sort of AI to figure out the patterns of how you're touching the screen when you're playing the game and then tune the touch response accordingly.

There's also a feature called image stabilization, which Infinix claims improves the look and feel of the game. Finally, there's also an in-built magic voice changer that changes your voice in-game.

If the gaming performance is this good, then the daily usage should also be good. No lags, no stutters. It's a very smooth performance. Again, it performs like a premium phone despite being a budget one.

Now, moving on to network support. You get support for 10 uh 5G bands. You get support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, but there's no NFC support. Now, the battery inside is a 5,500 mAh, a standard lithium ion battery that takes about 56 minutes for a full charge using the 45 watt charger that you get inside the box.

Infinix GT 30 Camera Specs
infinix gt 30 pro antutu score

Now talking about the camera setup inside a gaming phone which sometimes can be moot but you know what I'll talk about it regardless because what you get is a 64 MP Sony IMX 682 sensor with an 8 MP ultra wide and a 13 MP selfie camera but these specs don't matter. for the most part it actually clicks decent pictures during the day with enough amount of details. The skin tones of course are not true to life, but it's definitely improved in comparison to previous Infinix phones. And for a GT series, it's not bad.

And now, in the low light, the photos do get pretty bright, 100% crop reveals that it is not entirely very detailed rich. Now, the 8 MP ultra wide-angle camera, it's decent. It's better than having a 2 megapixel bokeh lens. The selfie from the phone also good as they actually do come out detailed and the skin tones are pretty good. And the other thing that I like about the camera is the fact that you can actually shoot 4K 30 fps videos using the primary camera and the selfie camera. And the video quality is also not too bad. The stabilization is also pretty decent.

In fact, with the ultra wide-angle camera, you can do 2K 30 fps video. With the camera app, you also get a few features like the vlog mode, dual video, and time-lapse, which are all pretty nice. Now, since this is a budget gaming phone, I actually didn't have very high expectations from the camera performance, but it's a pretty serviceable camera. The pictures are usable.

Software Features

one thing I never thought I'd say is that the software experience on the GT 30 5G Plus and Infinix phones in general is actually super underrated and especially for this price range, it is one of my favorite experiences. Now, of course, the UI that Infinix has stacked on top of Android 15 is called XOS 15. And you also get the promise of 2 plus 3 years of updates from Infinix, which is fantastic considering that there are other phones in this price range that offer only one year of support.

Now, the reason why XOS 15 is underrated is because it's clean, has smooth animations, and tons of features. This includes a dynamic bar, floating windows, split screen, smart panel, and even some AI features like AI note, AI eraser, AI cutout, circle to search, and of course, Google Gemini support that the list kind of goes on. And all of this is consolidated under Infinix's very own banner called OneTap Infinix AI.

Conclusion

Infinix GT 30 5G Plus has also managed to out the best performance that you can from the Dimensity 7400, which is something that I did not expect from Infinix. they've delivered. And it does this without necessarily compromising on other aspects of the phone that a lot of people will care about.

You get a great display, fairly large battery, smooth OS experience, gamer aesthetics, and more importantly, a fairly reliable set of cameras. By the way, the GT30 5G Plus is also compatible with the GT gaming kit if you care about that kind of thing. And now you know why I said that Infinix phones are generally underrated. They've silently been building good phones with great value propositions under 20,000 including this one.

So, what do you guys think of the Infinix GT 30 5G Plus, Let me know in the comments.
