Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold sets a new benchmark in foldable phones with Tensor G4 power, stunning display, and AI-driven camera.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold Price in India
It’s a phone that’s trying to just exist in 2025 when there are other phones like the ZFold 7, the Vivo XFold 5, all of which are pushing the boundaries of innovation. Despite that, I was willing to give this one a chance.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold Design
The first thing that stands out to me is that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is thicker and heavier than the ZFold 7 and the XFold 5. And the thought that pops in my head is that Samsung and Vivo are fighting to make their foldables feel more like regular candy bar flagship phones. In comparison, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold feels well, like a foldable.
I like the fact that it has curves around the edges and corners, making it more comfortable to hold and use, because it doesn’t dig into your palms like the sharp edges of the ZFold 7 do.
More importantly, Google made the Pixel 10 Pro Fold the first foldable phone in the world with an IP68 rating. Honestly, I never expected Google to be first to anything in hardware, so this is a refreshing change. The top of the display and the rear glass both have Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, which adds to its durability.
Another major change is the gearless hinge — slimmer and smoother when opening and closing compared to other foldables. So overall, when you look at the durability aspect, Google has done a very good job with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. It’s almost as durable, or even more so, than the ZFold 7.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is actually a short and stocky foldable. It’s wide, making it hard to grip for small hands. I have big hands, so it’s fine, but people with smaller hands would find the ZFold 7 more comfortable to hold.
One small design flaw — the display is too rounded at the corners, which doesn’t align with the squared edges on the frame, making it look like an unfinished CAD render.
All that said, design, build quality, and durability are actually pretty good on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and are the least of my concerns.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold Display
The display is not a concern either. The cover display is a 6.4-inch 120Hz OLED panel with 3000 nits peak brightness — crisp, bright, and excellent, similar to the Pixel 10 Pro XL. Color tuning is perfect, and you get HDR video playback on YouTube and Netflix.
The inner display offers similar specs, with the same 120Hz refresh rate and 3000 nits brightness. It’s a really good panel.
But the problem is the thick bezels — they make the phone look like it’s from 2018. When compared to the ZFold 7, Google seems to be playing it too safe.
Even worse, the crease is visible, and you can feel the dent while swiping across the screen. Despite that, the display quality itself is good enough.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold Performance
Performance is where the Pixel 10 Pro Fold completely falls apart. The Tensor G5 is not a flagship chipset, not even on the Pixel 10, let alone a ₹1.7 lakh phone.
In AnTuTu, the Pixel scores 1.5 million, while the ZFold 7 is nearly 50% faster. Geekbench results tell the same story — the Galaxy Fold 7 destroys it in multi-core performance. The Vivo XFold 5 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is even more powerful.
The CPU stability is just 59%. So, for resource-intensive tasks, it’s going to slow down significantly.
Even in daily use, the phone stutters — unacceptable for a phone that costs ₹1.5 lakh+.
So overall, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold in 2025 is a premium foldable that performs like a mid-range phone.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold Cameras
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold features a 48 MP primary, 10.5 MP ultra-wide, and 10.8 MP 5x periscope camera. On paper, the specs are lower than the Pixel 10 Pro XL, though the photo quality is quite similar.
At 1x, shots are good but show post-processing artifacts at 100% crop. 2x and 3x shots look fine. The 5x periscope lens could’ve used a higher resolution, but the AI zoom up to 20x produces usable results.
Colors are generally balanced, though skin tones can look slightly reddish out of the box. The 5x zoom fixes that and produces more realistic tones.
HDR tuning is excellent, maintaining good control over highlights and shadows, though colors can be boosted too much in HDR shots.
In low light, the Night Sight algorithm performs well, capturing details with both the 1x and 5x lenses. The ultra-wide struggles in low light.
The Selfies are pretty good, similar to the Pixel 10 Pro XL smartphone.
For videos, it supports 4K 60fps across all lenses with good daylight quality. But in low light, Google relies heavily on Video Boost AI, which reduces noise but adds artifacts and takes long to process.
Overall, the ZFold 7 and Vivo XFold 5 still offer better, more reliable camera foldable smartphones. The Pixel is good, but not great.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold Software and AI Features
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold shines in the software experience. You get stock Android 16 with 7 years of OS updates from Google.
The Material You design looks great, but the best part is the Gemini AI integration. Gemini Live offers powerful AI tools that even Apple Intelligence can’t match yet.
However, the foldable-specific features are limited. You can only open two apps in split-screen, unlike Samsung’s multi-app multitasking. The camera viewfinder on the cover screen is nice but not unique.
So while the AI and software optimization are top-notch, Google needs to add more foldable features to compete with Samsung.
Still, the software experience remains a redeeming factor for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold Battery
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold packs a large 5150 mAh battery, which delivers good battery life around 1 to 1.5 days depending on usage.
However, the charging speed is slow — just 30W wired and 15W wireless. The Pixel Stand 2.2 on the Pixel 10 Pro XL supports 25W.
For a phone costing nearly ₹1.8 lakh, this is unacceptable. Still, battery life itself is strong thanks to good optimization.
Conclusion
Overall, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold offers a durable design, IP68 rating, good cameras, and excellent software with Gemini AI and 7 years of updates.
The display quality and battery life are solid too.
But the Tensor G5 performance and high price make it hard to recommend. A ₹1.7–1.8 lakh phone shouldn’t stutter in daily use or struggle in gaming.
Next year, Google needs to aim for a thinner, more refined design and a stronger chipset.
For now, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold feels like a premium idea trapped inside mid-range performance.
