Introduction

GT versus Neo battle is here again, and this time it's the Realme GT7 vs iQOO Neo 10, or for the performance enthusiasts out there, it's the Dimensity 9400e versus the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.

Now, whether you want to know about the build, display, battery, software, network performance, or even the cameras, every single answer will be discussed in this blog post.

Now, the first thing that stands out when you take a look at the design of both these phones is that they looks like their elder flagship siblings.

If you are looking the detailed specs of iQOO Neo 10. In your blog, you'll get the complete detailed review for the iQOO Neo 10 Smartphone.

Realme GT 7 Vs iQOO Neo 10 Design Comparison

One thing I do like about the design of the GT7 is definitely that accented color button and that accents also run around the camera module. So, overall, when you look at the design, I feel like slightly more. The design of the Realme GT7 is slightly more elevated compared to the iQOO Neo 10.

Now, both also come with a completely plastic build, which was necessary considering both have a 7,000 mAh battery inside. And when you take a look at the weight of both these phones, there's not much of a difference. It's like a 23g difference.

However one thing that you will notice is that the iQOO Neo 10 is actually kind of bottom-heavy. So, it sometimes weighs you down as opposed to the Realme GT7. But I makes up for that problem by giving you like a slightly curved back panel, so it's easier to comfortably hold it in your hand. iQOO Neo 10 is slightly slimmer than the Realme GT7.

Realme gt 7 vs iqoo neo 10 specs

So overall feel that despite being slightly bottom-heavy, I think the iQOO Neo 10 does a better job compared to the Realme GT7, which is slightly more blocky. Now, one interesting thing is that both come with uh an infrared blaster. With the iQOO Neo 10, it's inside the camera module and with the Realme GT7 it's on top over here like it should be.

Anyway, there's one problem with these phones, both, you know, performance-oriented, gaming-oriented phones, is the fact that you get a Type-C 2.0 port at the bottom and not type-C 3.1. They should have given 3.1 because it's a gaming-oriented phone. You need like display out, faster transfer speeds, all of that is very important.

Realme GT 7 Vs iQOO Neo 10 Display Comparison

Now, when you talk about the displays, both have the same flat 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution. As for the refresh rate, the GT7 can go up to 120 Hz, whereas the iQOO Neo 10 can go up to 144 Hz. But 144 Hz will be available only in certain games.

Both also offer variable refresh rate and they can switch between 60, 90, and 120, depending on the content that's playing on the screen.

iQOO Neo 10 display seems to be much better than the Realme GT7s. One of the reasons is that the iQOO Neo 10's display is brighter one whether it's outdoors or indoors. So when you take it outdoors, the high brightness mode metric is higher than the Realme GT7 and therefore it looks brighter.

Realme gt 7 vs iqoo neo 10 camera

And that's also true for the HDR content as well, where the iQOO 10 looks brighter than the Realme GT7 despite the GT7 having a higher metric. The good thing is that both phones also support HDR video playback on YouTube and Netflix.

You get HDR10 support on the iQOO 10 and Dolby Vision support on the Realme GT7. It's not just the brightness. Even the color accuracy seems to be better on the iQOO Neo 10. Now, both do offer 10-bit panels, but we feel like with the original Procolor mode, iQOO Neo's tuning seems to be closer to neutral compared to Realme, which is slightly saturated.

Both these phones have a very good pulse with a modulation rating as well. So, you get 4320 Hz PWM dimming on the iQOO Neo 10, whereas you get 2160 Hz on the Realme GT7. The metric is better on iQOO, but I mean both are good.

Now the optical indisplay fingerprint scanner is very fast to unlock on both and nothing to separate the two really. But there's one area where Realme actually is better than uh iQOO Neo 10 and that is the haptic feedback tuning because of O haptics and a tighter motor. You do get much more precise and finer vibrations.

Now when it comes to stereo speaker performance, while both are good, I feel like GT7 is slightly better than the iQOO Neo 10 because it has slightly more bass. Now, to close off the audio conversation, you also get LHDC and LDAC support on both phones

Realme GT 7 Vs iQOO Neo 10 Performance Comparison

Now the GT7 has the Dimensity 9400E. It's a MediaTek chipset. The iQOO Neo 10 has a Snapdragon 8S Gen 4. Now both these are very fresh of the oven. These are two of the first phones to get these chipsets in India

Now, when it comes to synthetic benchmarks, the Realme GT7 definitely performs better than the iQOO Neo 10 because what you get is a higher Antutu score and a higher Geekbench score. Now, when you look at the CPU stability, the iQOO Neo 10 has slightly better CPU stability compared to the Realme GT7, but it's not too much of a difference.

But in GPU stability, the Dimensity 9400E is definitely more stable compared to the iQOO Neo 10. Now, which means that if you're playing something that is more graphically intensive.

These chipsets can handle those games with ease. I'm talking about something like, say for example if you are doing emulation, then you know the iQOO Neo 10 will not be able to sustain as much performance as the Realme GT7 can.

The other advantage with the GT7 is that you get a vapor cooling chamber and you also get a graphene sheet on top of the battery which ensures that it doesn't get as hot uh as most other phones. In fact, it runs very very cool, much cooler than most other gaming phones.

In fact, the iQOO Neo 10 also runs very cool. It doesn't get hot at all, but it's not as cool as the Realme GT7. overall, if you look at it, you get more throughput or more performance headroom with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 tuned inside the iQOO Neo 10.

Whereas with uh Realme GT7 with the 9400e, you get a slightly more stable less throttled and cooler performance.

So if you're somebody like me who who prefers you know short bursts of gaming instead of playing like for two three hours at a stretch which I don't do on a phone anyway.

If you're somebody who prefers that then the iQOO Neo 10 would be better because you will you know it'll help you to have that higher throughput. But the Realme GT7 is more oriented towards gamers who game a lot on their phone.

Realme GT 7 Vs iQOO Neo 10 Network & Battery Comparison

Coming to the network capabilities, both are fantastic. We had no problem with even the terrible Jio network that we have these days over here. So, 5G performance is good. You get support for Wi-Fi 7. You get support for Bluetooth 5.4. and this NFC as well.

Now, when we looked at the battery performance of the 7,000 mAh battery inside these phones, the iQOO Neo 10 seems to be slightly better and gives slightly better screen on time, about half an hour more screen on time compared to the Realme GT7.

It's not significant difference. It depends on what you're using on your phone. But there's one distinctive advantage with the charger that you get with the iQOO Neo 10. It's a proper GAN charger with a Type-C to Type-C cable, and it can charge a MacBook as well.

Realme GT 7 Vs iQOO Neo 10 Camera Comparison

Now, the camera setup definitely on paper, the Realme GT7 has better camera specs. If you look at it, you get a 50MP primary camera, 50MP 2x telephoto, 8 MP ultra wide, and a 32 MP selfie camera

In comparison, the iQOO Neo 10 has only two cameras on the rear, a 50MP primary, an 8 MP ultra wide, and a 32 MP selfie camera

Generally, we don't look at hardware specs and evaluate the cameras. The one problem with Realme is that it tends to oversharpen images excessively. when you look at the primary camera, it has a larger sensor, the oversharpening is an eyesore.

I would pick the iqoo Neo 10 at 100% crop when you look at them side by side over the Realme GT7.

realme gt 7 vs iqoo neo 10 price

However, since the Realme GT7 has a dedicated 50MP 2x telephoto camera, the images definitely have more details in daylight and even in low light. Realme has better zoom performance compared to the iQOO Neo 10. For color tuning, both these phones offer different modes. So the choice is in your hands, which one you want to pick.

With Realme, you'll get a vibrant mode and a crisp mode. The crisp mode is closer to neutral. Whereas with iQOO Neo, what you get is natural, vivid, and textured.

If you're shooting people, although Realme's crisp mode actually takes much better, more close to accurate skin tones, it's close to what we saw with our eyes, and it is definitely better than iQOO Neo 10. Now, let's talk about the color sense consistency between the lenses. Both phones perform poorly in this.

There's a visible color shift between the lenses on both of these phones. One area where iQOO Neo actually does better again is with the algorithm tuning. As I mentioned, it doesn't do oversharpening in the primary camera. Similarly, the HDR tuning is executed very tastefully.  it has very good control over both highlights and shadows as well.

Realme's portrait mode shots are also better primarily because you get like a dedicated 2x telephoto camera. So that you know, 48 mm punching is actually very good for taking portraits.

Now, talking about selfies, Realme actually does a better job because it captures more details, and the skin tone is also closer to neutral on the GT7. In selfie portraits, both phones capture a good amount of details on the face, and the edge detection is also decent on both. The background bokeh, however, seems to be more, finely tuned on the iQOO Neo 10 compared to the Realme GT7.

One major advantage with the Debens 9400E inside the Realme GT7 is that it helps with videography because with the GT7, you can not only shoot 4K 60 fps video, which you can also do with the iQOO Neo 10, you can also shoot 4K 120 fps videos and you have the option to shoot Dolby Vision videos as well. Additionally, you can record 8K 30 fps video.

However, we compared the 4K 60 fps videos on both the phones and we felt like I mean the both are almost equally good and sometimes iQOO Neo seems to be slightly better at detail retrieval compared to the Realme GT7 but the technical capabilities are better on the Realme GT7.

Now with the ultra wide-angle camera on both, you get 1080p 30 fps. The details are very soft and almost unusable in low light when you're shooting videos. My only concern is that the Realme is camera algorithm could have been tuned better to ensure that it's not oversharpening the images which is a concern.

Using 8 megapixel camera on both these phones for the ultra wide, they could have actually used a higher resolution one. Overall though, between both the phones, if I had to pick one for camera performance, I would side with the Realme GT7 despite the oversharpening issues.

Realme GT 7 Vs iQOO Neo 10 Software Comparison

Now talking about the software experience, Funtouch OS on the iQOO Neo 10, Fun touch OS 15 based on Android 15 and Realme UI 6 based on Android 15 on the Realme GT7. And Realme is also giving you more promises of updates.

Basically what you get is 4 plus 6 years whereas with the IQOO Neo 10 you will get 3 plus 4 years of updates. Now it's plain and simple for me at least from my perspective is that I prefer Realme UI compared to FuntouchOS.

In iQOO Neo 10, the animations are smoother. You also get more modern features like live activities, flux themes, and direct iPhone connect. All of that is definitely very useful and not available on Funtouch OS. More importantly, the design itself looks better compared to Fun Touch OS.

Now, when it comes to the bloatwareapps, the iQOO Neo 10 has more bloatware apps compared to the Realme GT7. But yes, both are uninstallable from Phone.

Now, AI features-wise, again, Realme does it better than Funtouch. Not only do you get like ofcourse circle to search which is there on both the phones. But there are newer AI features with the realme GT7.

For example:

AI planner basically need to double-tap the back of the phone. And if you're on a page that essentially an event or something similar, then it'll definitely create that event for you and add it to your calendar.

Realme's operating system has more modern features with Realme UI 6 with clear look. It has better animations. The software experience is better on Realme compared to iQOO.

With the realme GT7, the base variant is 8GB RAM / 256GB ROM whereas with iQOO you get 8GB RAM /128GB ROM. Now you also do get an 8GB RAM/ 256GB ROM variant with the iQOO Neo 10.

Realme GT 7 Vs iQOO Neo 10 Price Comparison

When you compare the prices there is a considerable difference in the price and Realme is at least like INR 4,000 to 5,000 more. In fact realme seems to be giving higher discounts of 5,000 so that you can they can bring the price down.

But yeah I mean if you even take the net effective pricing there is like a 3,000 difference between the base between the 8 to 256GB variants.

Now, for that price difference, what you get with the Realme is a better camera performance and a better software experience. But overall, if you look at it, I feel like the iQOO Neo 10 seems to be a better bargain right now if you can keep the software aside for a bit because you get a better display, you get a better battery life.

And of course, we feel like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 has slightly more headroom with the GPU for better performance compared to the Realme GT7.

Conclusion

Now, when the GT7's prices drop, which they eventually they will. then the competition will become even more interesting. And if it comes down to the price of the iQOO  Neo 10, then I would recommend the GT7 over the iQOO Neo 10 because better cameras.

All right, so with that information, which one of these two would you pick? Let me know in the comments.
