Vivo X200 FE Vs iPhone 16 : Display, Battery, Camera and Performance

Vivo X200 FE vs iPhone 16 Smartphone Comparison based on display, design, performance, gaming, camera, battery, Video Recording and software.

Introduction

Here, we will see the smartphone comparsion between the Vivo X200 FE Vs iPhone 16 with Display, Design, Performance, Battery, Camera, Video Recording and Software Features.

The one thing that I fail to understand every single time everybody ends up buying an iPhone better Android hardware exists for a much lower price.

The X200 FE has better hardware than the iPhone 16. And yet, people will end up picking the Apple phone. I'll be comparing the hardware, we'll also try to figure out why. Why is this happening? Let's get started!

Vivo X200 FE Vs iPhone 16 Design Comparison

Vivo X200 FE Vs iPhone 16

With the design of these phones, you know that the X200FE takes a lot of inspiration from the iPhone 16's design, but in some ways also improves upon it. Both are compact, they have flat sides, they feel very premium, and they have a very good in-hand feel.

Now, there is one thing that I noticed with these phones, that is the iPhone 16 has the ceramic shield 2.0 and zero protection.

Whereas you get Schott sensation core with the X200 FE. And I can tell you with a fair bit of confidence that the X200 FE display doesn't scratch as much as the iPhone 16's does.

When you compare the dimensions of these phones, the iPhone 16 is a smaller phone, so it's shorter, thinner, and lighter.

But the good thing about the X200 FE is that it is still under 200 g. Now, for that extra slight bit of thickness, an extra slight bit of added weight, you get a much larger battery and an extra telephoto camera. You also get an IP69 rating with the X200 FE, which is a little more modern standard compared to the IP68 that you get with the iPhone 16.

The iPhone 16 also has a few advantages. They are
  • You get support for wireless charging with Max Safe.
  • You also get tactile buttons along with a couple of extra buttons.

Now, all of these are sacrifices that the price of X100FE is selling at, and for the extra-large battery plus extra camera that you get with it. Those are functionally more useful.

With respect to the Type-C speeds, you get Type-C 2.0 on both. And Vivo is also available in a bunch of funky color options, like the iPhone 16.

You get a color-coordinated case inside the box. You also get the charging brick within the box itself.

All of which you have to buy separately for the iPhone 16.

Vivo X200 FE Vs iPhone 16 Display Comparison
Vivo X200 FE Vs iPhone 16 display specs

While coming to the displays on these compact flagships. With the iPhone, what you get is a smaller 6.1-inch display. It's an OLED panel. And with the X200 FE, you get a slightly larger 6.31-inch display.

But how Vivo has managed to keep the size in check is by reducing the bezels quite a bit. If you compare the Vivo X200 FE to the iPhone 16, the bezels are much slimmer on the Vivo X200 FE.

The most important thing is that the iPhone still has 60 Hz in 2025. With Vivo, you get 120 Hz, and it's an LTPO panel with a peak brightness of 3000 nits and with better PWM dimming at 2160 Hz.

If you're sensitive to low-light flicker on high refresh rate displays, that's not going to be a problem in this one.

But in real life, the iPhone has a higher brightness when you take it outdoors. It's slightly brighter compared to the X200 FE. And the other thing Vivo has is a Zeiss Master color display, where the color accuracy is very good in the pro color mode.

But with the iPhone, it is still the gold standard when it comes to display color accuracy. Watching HDR content is very good on both. You get Dolby Vision support on the iPhone, whereas you get HDR 10 support on Vivo.

While comparing the HDR content, both Vivo's punchy colors looked fantastic. And the iPhone's shadow control looked much better.

When it comes to speakers, Vivo has a solid set of stereo speakers, but the iPhone 16 sounds richer and fuller compared to Vivo.

And if you're an audiophile like me, then buying an Android flagship makes a lot of sense. because you will get support for high-res Bluetooth codecs like LHDC and LDAC, which Apple will not support.

And finally, in terms of haptics, Apple's uh haptic feedback tuning with the haptic engine is far superior compared to Vivos. Now, iPhone 16 has Apple's A18 chip, whereas the X200 FE uses the MediaTek density 9300 plus.

The one good thing about the X200 FE is that the starting base storage variant itself is 256GB. Whereas with the iPhone 16, what you get is 128GB, and the iPhone also has only 8 GB of RAM, whereas you get 12 GB of RAM with the X200 FE.

Vivo X200 FE Vs iPhone 16 Benchmark Test

In Geekbench, the iPhone takes the clear lead. The A18 is far more powerful compared to the 9300 Plus. And in the 3D Mark Wild Life extreme stress test, the iPhone scores higher, but Vivo offers slightly better GPU stability.

But the thing with the iPhone is that with BGMI, you get only 60 fps gameplay. You do not have the 120 fps option, which is understandable considering that it's a 60 Hz display. The X200 FE unlocks 120 FPS gameplay on BGMI, and you get very close to 60fps consistent average FPS on Gen Impact with the X200 FE. which is also true for the iPhone 16.

Vivo X200 FE Vs iPhone 16 price comparison
The one thing about Vivo is that the battery life is far better than that of the iPhone. So, the Vivo can give you anywhere between 7 and 1/2 hours to 8 hours of screen on time. whereas the iPhone gives you about 6 to 6 and 1/2 hours, which is not bad either. But Vivo's battery life is consistently superior compared to Apple's.

And despite having a larger battery, the X200 FE charges faster. Thanks to the 90-watt charging speeds, it tops up in about 57 minutes. Whereas the iPhone, with its really slow charging speeds, takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes for a full charge. But yes, if you care about wireless charging, you get that with the iPhone 16.

Vivo X200 FE Vs iPhone 16 Camera Comparison

When talking about cameras, Vivo has an advantage because you get a proper triple camera setup with a telephoto camera. which the iPhone doesn't have.

Let's start with the primary camera. iPhone's 24-megapixel definitely capture more details and retain more information than the X200 FE. And therefore, even the 2x in sensor crop is better on the iPhone compared to the X200 FE. And at 3x, Vivo's dedicated telephoto camera kicks in and crushes the iPhone.

Vivo's zoom performance is much better compared to the iPhone. And even in low light, Vivo captures more detailed, brighter shots compared to the iPhone. And even at every single zoom level from 2x to 3x to 5x and 10x, Vivo beats the iPhone. iPhone cannot match Vivo's detailed retention here, which is very good for Vivo.

And another area where I actually prefer Vivo is in the HDR tuning. The shadow textures are very well preserved, too, which is better than what the iPhone achieves. Now Vivo offers three color modes. Zas for natural color tones, vivid and textured.

iPhone has photographic styles. Lets you customize the look according to your style without destroying the JPEGs. With skin tones, Vivo Zas mode is fantastic. But iPhone again gets close. you get better edge detection and a more natural bokeh drop off.

when it comes to the ultra-wide-angle camera, iPhone clearly wins. It's a 12 megapixel sensor versus Vivo's 8 megapixel one, where you get better detail in daylight and in low light.

iPhone 16 shoots 4K 60 fps Vs 1080p 30 fps on Vivo, and it doubles up as a macro camera, too. Selfies, I'll go with the iPhone first. The skin tones and the facial details, without oversharpening, are too good. But in extreme low light, the iPhone underexposes noticeably. Vivo captures more usable detail in selfie shots.

In selfie portraits, Vivo pulls ahead with better edge detection and background blur. Now, both the phones record at 4K 60 fps from the main and selfie cameras. iPhone's video recording quality is unmatched, especially in terms of detail and stabilization. Whether you're shooting in daylight or low light, the iPhone is the better video recording camera.

And the advantage of the iPhone is that you can shoot HDR videos. Now, both phones can also shoot portrait or cinematic videos. And again, iPhone edges ahead.

So, with more lenses and a well-tuned camera performance the X200FE is well-suited for photography. whereas the iPhone is better suited for videography.

Vivo X200 FE Vs iPhone 16 OS Comparison

We've been running the iOS 26 developer beta on the iPhone 16, and with the Vivo, what you get is Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. Now with the X200 FE, Vivo is promising 4 years of OS updates, with, you know, the iPhone, you can expect anywhere between 6 and 7 years, which is fantastic.

OS design in general is superior, at least with iOS 18, compared to the FunTouch OS 15 experience, and with iOS 26, what you get is a liquid glass design. But, multiple developer betas come to the final build. I think that it will be more cohesive and better compared to FunTouch OS for sure, and more importantly, you get modern UI features.

Now, concerning AI, yes, you do get a bunch of AI features on both. With Vivo, you get AI eraser, AI live cutout, AI photo enhance, circle to search, Google Gemini uh support, and AI call translation.

With the iPhone, what you get is visual intelligence, Genoji, image playground, and a lot more under the Apple intelligence banner. Overall, if you look at it, I mean, software experience, I would have to give iPhone the win over Vivo.

Conclusion

We are at the end of the comparison. It is evident that for a much lower price with the X200 FE, you get a good hardware, and it's a compelling proposition.

And the hardware also performs really well. So much so that you get really decent performance, a good battery life, and excellent camera tuning too. So yeah, it's a very compelling compact Android flagship.

And yet everybody ends up buying the iPhone for a higher price. And the reason for that is just three things. The brand value is the refinement of the app ecosystem that is within iOS itself.

I want to know, guys, which smartphone you’ll choose, either the Vivo X200 FE or the iPhone 16. Tell me in the comment section with the reason. I'll be reading your comments.
